Handfasting

This is a traditional joining ceremony that dates back thousands of years,it is also where the phrase "tieing the knot"comes from.

It can be as complicated or as simple as you like and can be held wherever you like,a favorite spot or in a wood or by a river,even on top of a mountain in the pouring rain(that was ours anyway).

You and your partner compose your own vows and how you want the ceremony run and then we use a piece of cord to loosely bind your hands together as a symbol of your joining together,but they are loose so that it is only binding as long as both parties want it to be.

The cord can be anything from a piece of old rope to very expensive material,the same with the rings,these are exchanged(if you wish to have them)before the cord is tied.

You can have as many or as little people involved in the actual ceremony as you wish,at the end of the day it is truly your own clebration.

You may want a pagan one,where your gods/esses,Ancestors or whoever are asked to join you, or just one where you want something different without anything spiritual from the usual "do you take"vows, that is truly planned by you both with our help.

Prices

As all ceremonies are tailor made,we do not do packages or fancy offers.

Our prices usually depend on location,time and are totally negotiable.

If you choose us then we ask that we meet up and show you a copy of the template that shows the very basic celebration and then we discuss and plan with you how you want it.

If your happy with that then we ask for a small deposit and you recieve a copy of the template,the rest of the cost can be paid in instalments or on the day,whichever is easiest for yourselves.

Naming Ceremony

This is instead of a christening or baptism,or can be used to welcome an adopted child into the family,again the contents of the ceremony are upto yourselves and we just help with the planning of this very special time.

These ceremonies tend not to have godparents but instead normally use the terms guardians(but as with the rest of the ceremony this is upto you).

The normal way it is run is both parents say their vows to the child and then the "Gaurdians"(or whatever you wish to call them) followed by the grandparents,give the vows they wish to say or ones you have chosen for them.
